Hibiscus

hibiscus tourism malaysia
Hibiscus is the national flower of Malaysia. In the toursist advertisements saying "Malaysia truly Asia", you will mostly see a picture of an hibiscus, like the yellow hibiscus in the Malaysia tourism poster on the right.

Hibiscus is a native plant here: we just cut an hibiscus twig, put it inthe soil, cover it from the hot sun and before you know it: a "new hibiscus" is born. It sometimes takes less than 2 months before this new hibiscus even starts blooming.

We also import in Malaysia the big flower hibiscus from Holland, yet they are not so well adapted to our hot Malaysian sun and climate...
